All About Me
My name is Avery Phillips, and I am 24 years old. I am excited to be entering a new year at FSES, and working with your child to encourage their success.

My Education and Background
I am a proud Comal ISD graduate, and went to both Smithson Valley Middle School and Smithson Valley High School.
I pursued higher education and received my Bachelor's Degree in Science, with a special focus in Special Education.
Currently, I am pursuing my Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. I plan to graduate (fingers crossed!) by the 26-27 school year.
Through my educational career, I have been lucky to encourage others to continue their learning through opportunities such as being a speaker through Communities in Schools (CIS). During this event, I was able to share the impacts of individualized student supports and how those supports help our students thrive.
My Work Experience
I am proud to say I was present for the opening of FSES back in the 23-24 school year. Since our opening, I have been working as the dedicated Behavior Management teacher at the elementary level.
This year, our 25-26 school year, I am transitioning to support our Essential Academic elementary aged students.
Prior to joining Comal ISD as a staff member, I had the honor to work at an inpatient residential treatment center supporting students K-12 who had severe mental health needs. In my specific role, I provided inclusion support to students receiving Special Education services. I primarily worked with high school aged students during this time.
